Creating Routes & Stops Manually In MyRoute
We've published two other tutorials covering
how to add new routes/stops using .CSVs and
how to add saved addresses using .CSVs. In this guide, we are going to cover how to add new routes and stops manually from within the software. It is a very user-friendly process, made for adding singular/smaller amounts of stops as opposed to using a .CSV for bulk additions. We will start by loading into our MyRoute portal and directing our attention to the left-side menu.
Now that you have located the menu, take a quick glance through the input fields To manually add a stop to a route (and even create a new route), we will be entering our atop info into these fields. We will begin to work our way down from the top, starting at the 'Route' and '+ New Route' fields.
Route/New Route
If you are adding a new stop to a pre-existing route, use the Route drop-down menu to select the desired route.
Once your desired route is selected, feel free to skip down to the 'Stop Name' section if you are not creating a new route.
If you are creating a new route altogether, click the '+ New Route' button.
A new menu will open next to the Create Route menu, prompting you to enter some information about your new route:
Route Name: Enter your new route's name as you'd like it to appear.
Future Date: Select a date in the future (can be current day) you would like this new route to begin on.
Is Daily Route: Check this box if your new route will be run daily. It will reset every evening and be ready to run again the next day.
Once you've entered all your desired information, click 'Save' at the bottom of the new menu.
You can now select your newly created route from the Route drop-down menu to begin adding stops to it.
Note: You can also delete routes from this drop-down menu using the Trash Can icon to the right of the route names.

Stop Name
Enter the desired name for the stop you are currently entering. This is how the stop will be referenced in the right-side 'Display Routes' menu, as well as included in the information shown when you click on this stop's pin.
This is a required field and must be filled out to add the stop.
Address
- This is where you will enter the exact address of your new stop. Remember, this address is where your drivers will be routed to on the Driver Site.
- As you begin typing the desired address, a menu will appear underneath the input box suggesting addresses based off what you have entered. If/when you see your desired address appear, click on it to autofill the rest of your entry.
- You can also pull straight from your Saved Addresses. This is very useful for addresses you will be adding to routes frequently and don't want to manually add every time. Click on the Saved Addresses button right above the Address input box.
- A new menu will open next to the Create Route menu, prompting you to choose:
- Route: this dropdown lets you choose which route the selected Saved Address will be added to. This will autofill with your previously selected route.
- Address: all of your Saved Addresses will be displayed in this dropdown. Choose which one(s) you'd like to add to the selected route.
- Once you've entered all your desired information, click 'Save' at the bottom of the new menu to enter your chosen saved address(es) into your selected route.

Phone Number/Email
The Phone Number & Email fields are used to enter contact information associated with this stop and/or the anyone who you would like to be notified. They are both completely optional and may be left blank.
FleetPaths MyRoute utilizes email and SMS messaging to alert your stops of estimated ETAs and anything else you'd like included in your personalized message template. These features are activated by request (no messages will be sent unless activation of messaging is requested), and SMS messaging is an additional fee.
Work Order ID/Work Order & Stop Notes
These final two fields are for the sole purpose of recordkeeping and any additional info you'd like to include with a stop. These are best utilized by entering any stop-specific notes or otherwise pertinent information, as your drivers will be able to see this information in the field. They are both completely optional and may be left blank.
When you are all done entering information for this stop, click the '
Add Stop' button located at the bottom right of the Create Route menu. This will finalize all entered information and add the stop to the specified route. It's that easy! This method is best utilized for adding one or 'a few' stops, if you have a large volume of stops to add we recommend utilizing the
.CSV Batch Upload functionality.
